WISH WE'D LEFT AT INTERMISSION LIKE THE REST OF THE AUDIENCE

The first half was okay; the opening scenes were by far the most enjoyable of the entire show. The actress for Laurey did a great job and was easily the most talented performer on stage. Actor for Curly had a good voice and stage presence but there wasn't much chemistry between him and Laurey. Actress for Aunt Eller did a great job too but wasn't really able to shine. A good chunk of the audience left at intermission and we wish that we had too. The dream sequence was a train wreck and completely out of place. I'm sure the dancer is talented but the performance clashed entirely with the rest of the show and was jarringly uncomfortable. The final scenes were lackluster and awful to watch. The facial expressions and actions of the performers clashed with the lines they were saying and it felt like nobody wanted to do the show by the end. If they wanted to politicize the ending, I wish they'd gone off script entirely instead of trying to force it. I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone

CANCEL THE TOUR

Worst performace I have witnessed from the BTL. There was no entertainment value in the production. A lot of the audience left at intermission and the remaining audience headed for the exits before the final curtain call. Production company should cancel the tour. Regret I did not read the reviews from Minn and SC before I went. Woud have prevented me from wasting my time.

OUCH!

Too bad our first visit to the Peace Center was such a dismal experience. We paid for premium seats and could easily have moved to premium seats after the intermission & the mass exodus of disgruntled season ticket holders. Please listen to your audience! Hold yourselves to a higher standard and insist upon the best for your city.

CAST IS TALENTED

I love the diversity and the cast was talented but too dark, depressing. I really wanted to like this but I thought it was too pretentious and I wanted to hear beloved songs and have a fun night not get depressed and gloomy. Pittsburgh cast some avant-garde stuff but this one just did not connect with me and everybody I talked to in the audience was not a fan. I'm kind of mad that I wasted my money

OKLAHOMA...NOWAY, OK.

Terrible performance. This has gotten poor reviews across the country, so why is it still playing? This was nothing more than a table read. I assisted in directing high school musicals for 13 years, and there wasn't one that was done as poorly as Oklahoma. Little to no interaction between characters...music was either inaudible or screechingly loud. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust should issue refunds to each and everyone who bought tickets for this waste of theatrics.

BORING

Uninteresting and never changing scenery. Speakers hard to understand. Speaking facing the audience instead of person they were talking to. The "laughing" was just silly. The dark scene suggesting suicide was horrible and had no place in was originally a beautiful musical. Like much of the audience on Tuesday we left at intermission because show was not entertaining.

BURN YOUR TICKETS

This was the worst screen play I have ever seen. No chemistry. Creepy characters. Lots of talent very poor decisions on remastering a classic.
