Multitalented composer Tonia Ko performs her 'Strange Sounds and Explosions Worldwide' symphony at Arizona State University School of Music as well as debuting a new sound installation entitled 'Why We Touch.' The multidisciplinary artist is both traditional and experimental, with her creations being cinematic and emotional as she aims to incorporate the mediums of music and visual art in one remarkable performance.

Being born in Hong Kong and raised in Hawaii and holding residencies at venues such as Copland House, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center and Atlantic Center for the Arts among others, Tonia has been inspired by various music types and it shows in her unique production and skill. She mesmerizes yet again by using a striking body of work to create a stimulating experience.
