Phantogram return in 2016 with their third studio album (helpfully titled) Three, and they've got an extensive North American tour to go along with it. Formed of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, Phantogram's darkly-hued sculpt synth pop that recalls the best of Portishead and Massive Attack. Their most recent project was a collaborative album with Outkast's Big Boi, but now they're back by themselves.

A band that takes their name from the Japanese word for Godzilla is taking on the heavy responsibility of delivering a sound so gargantuan that it makes skyscrapers wobble... Luckily, in the case of French metal quartet Gojira, the band more than delivers on this promise with a heady blend of progressive, thrash, death and groove metal.

Though you may not know it, the three members of Miike Snow are responsible for some of the biggest pop songs of the past two decades, with songwriting credits on everything from Britney's 'Toxic', to Bruno Mars' 'Grenade'. Unsurprisingly this talent for infectious hooks carries over to the trio's own band, an indie rock project which released its third album iii earlier this year.

The Scottish electronic collective (pronounced 'churches') are back on tour in the wake of releasing their second studio album Every Open Eye, released this year. The trio, led by Lauren Mayberry are known for working a clean sound, with their music style usually tagged as electronic or synthpop. They are kicking off their tour following a set of dates at various music festivals across the States. This new album is a fillow-up to their successful 2013 release, The Bones of What You Believe.
